Bamby Randhawa - Director Touché Golf School
Bamby Randhawa has been in the Golf business for over 30 years. He started his career as an Amateur, winning multiple tournaments, both at the Club level and on the Indian Amateur circuit.
He has represented India both nationally and on the Asian circuit. He was shortlisted for the Asian games in 1982 as well as the Eisenhower cup. Beat Walker Club player, Malcolm Lewis during his amateur tenure. He won the Sri Lanka Open as an Amateur in 1982.
Bamby turned Professional in 1983. His first notable win as a Pro, was the Sher-e-Kashmir Open in 1983 with a record 17 stroke lead. Multiple wins later, he retired due to a severe elbow injury. Moved to Srilanka for a period of two years and worked as a Foreign exchange dealer with Piggott Chapman & Co. He moved to New York and worked with the prestigious Old Westbury Golf and Country Club in Long Island for over 10 years, teaching Golf amongst other things.
Bamby moved back to India, Bangalore in 1998 and has been involved with teaching ever since. For the last five years, has been the head Pro at the Bangalore Golf Club and has been responsible for growing the Junior Program which started with 6 children in the camp. Today he runs one of the largest Junior programs in the country with over a 130 children under his tutelage, in addition to his regular students. He is a USGTF & NGAI certified teaching professional.
In addition to Golf, Bamby is an accomplished swimmer who has swum at the state level as well as multiple times Gold medalist in Athletics. He is passionate about bikes and is a crack shot, talents that he shares with his cousin, Jyoti Randhawa. Bamby is married to Shubbida and they have a 10 year old daughter Pebbles.
